I am leaving October the 28 of the year 2008, to the Joao Pessoa, Brazil mission. I report to the MTC in Sao Paulo Brazil on the 29th. For those who would like to attend my farewell, it will be held at the Village Way Chapel in alpine on Sunday October 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM.
I am really excited to have the opportunity to serve the people of Brazil, but more importantly I am excited to be serving the lord and giving all that I am to his cause. I know for myself that this is what I need to do, and what I have to do as a part of my being who the lord needs me to be. People tell me that I have a special part in His plan, so I am doing what he would want me to do... Just in case they are right ;).
Some have asked if I am scared, and to answer that let me say this. YES! But the reasons why I am sacred have nothing to do with the fact that I am going to be 6,000 miles away from home, or that I'm going to a place where I know nothing about, or going to be speaking a language that I have never heard before... ok well maybe thats why I'm scared, but I was told by a very wise friend of my and to protect his identity I will from here on out refer to him as Elder Adam Kent Walter, that once you step onto the MTC grounds all those fears that you once experienced fade completely. I know he is right and I'm excited to experience that, I know it will help build my testimony in the Holy Ghost.
